Enjoyed spending some time cleaning the two ponies I bought Monday.
It took a lot of careful scrubbing and then conditioner in their manes mostly did the trick! :))

Isn't she pretty? A 1982 Italian My Little Pony. She's thirty and cute as a button! X3

Which means she's much older than me, but I looked more worn out -_-"

Also, I didn't know what "kind" the green one was, but I knew Lemon Drop (the yellow one) since I have anotherone, so I googled "1982 my little pony" and found out that this little missy (her name is "Minty") is a YEAR ONE pony!! :DDD I am THRILLED! I hadno clue! This is a true treasure!

Went to a second hand store to buy extra dining glasses, but instead found two lovely old-school MLPs to my collection!! :DD Now I'll take them home and clean them up, get those manes untangled.

ATM, my litle darlings are in a box in the basement, but once we've moved to a bigger apartment I'll get a huge glass cabinet to put them on display! :)) I can hardly wait!

Paris with my Darling!

Yes, after our visit at the comics-festival in Angouleme Anders and I stayed three nights in Paris.
This was our first vacation together, only him and I, and we really had a good time. Lots to see and eat :3 And, a LOT of walking! We only took the Metro once, otherwise we just walked and walked and walked all over :)) Loved it!

Monday, we spent 5 hours at Louvren! Soooo much stuff!

I have seen her twice now. I'm still .. unimpressed.

This is my favourite painting at Louvren! :D Fell in love the first time I saw her (two years ago).

At first, I was impressed by the HUGE amount of items on display at Louvren, from several continents..

But, then I got pretty angry.. Seriously, there were TOO MUCH of EVERYTHING! How many coffins are left in Egypt? How many statues are left in Greece? Shouldn't France give back what they stole during the imperial era? :(

This was probably the biggest "proof of globalization" I've experienced in a while; A Japanese restaurant, run by Chinese (they didn't understand Japanese), in Paris with British punk rock playing :)

We walked up to Sacre Cur (how's that spelled?) on Tuesday.

What a view! We were lucky; the sun broke through! Beautiful! :)

Today is my Swedish "namnsdag" (name's day) :))
And, I just got some pretty flowers from my Mom!

We don't really celebrate this event so much, but sometimes I'll get a cake or postcard, or like today; some pretty flowers :DD

Angouleme BD-festival (and the Swedish "Musikfestivalen" started this weekend)!! :D

Here's a few of the 500 pictures I took during my week in France. :)

First, the BD (french; bande dessine (comics)) festival in Angouleme;
I went to the Comic's Festival in Angouleme in January for the second time (first was 2010).
This time I travelled with my good old friends Amanda Hakim, Nathalie ("Nat") Nilsson and my boyfriend Anders "Bo Ashi" Johansson.
We had a really good trip and spent a lot of time with the other Swedish and Finnish artists and editors at the festival. It was so inspiering to be around all these talented people, and all the COMICS! :D The amount of comics in France is HUGE! I'm always overwhelmed when I think about how small Sweden's comic's stage is compared to France.
We spent a lot of time helping out at the Swedish Comics exhibition but also had the time to see some other exhibitions. I got to talk to one editor that I wanted to, so that's a plus :) We'll see where that leads.. You'll never know, but right now I'm (sadly) very occupied by school and it's hard to take on a bigger project ATM..

First I drew her breasts small (since - what I remember, at least - Sailor Moon got teased for having small breasts (or was that another series?)), but then I looked in the manga and they were HUGE D:> So, I did hers as well ^^
But, ah, curvy women.. It's probably what I enjoy drawing the most!

Also, I got a message from DHL that the package with the books I had been sent had arrived in Malmö!
Those of you who know me are well aware of the fact that I am not a very patient person, and when I talked to the DHL customer services and they said that they wouldn't be able to ship it out to me until Tuesday; I biked all the way to the other side of the harbour to pick up my books. (It sure was windy and COLD yesterday! But WORTH IT!)

Aren't they lovely! :D

Now I have something to give the kids this christmas ^^
(I don't have enough for all my friends, only the closest family, but you grown-ups know how to order online ~.^)

I can hardly even begin to tell how happy and proud I am! The FIRST "real" children's book!

Nike Athena in the shadow and the mystic document!

HERE IT IS!! FINALLY!

This is the secret project that I've been working on this fall;
illustrations for a childrens book by Swedish politician Johnny Munkhammar. Read his blog entry about the book here:

Myself, I have to admit that I am personally not too much into politics, but I know when I really like a character! And, I really do like NA. She's like a modern age Ronja Rövardotter in my eyes. Not afraid of anything. A bit of a dare-devil.. I am not sure that I'd let my own children roam around in Europe all by themelves, but, then again, my parents let me move to the US for a year when I was 16, so maybe I'm just too over protective??
Also, she's a lot of fun to draw! :)

Either way, here is the lovely cover!

I'm impressed by myself that I did so well on the digital coloring, usually I use only traditional media such as watercolors!

The book is published by Yaaa (http://www.yaaa.se/), and will in a few days time be out in a bookstore (physical or on the web) close to you! (I'll update once I have a webbadress for you to look into)

Ugh..
Two exams next week (Tuesday and Friday).
ATM it seriously feels like I have zero life.. Study study study study.. Go to school.. Get home.. Eat.. Study.. Take an occasional walk... Otherwise.. not really much else going on. "Oh, really, there's a party this weekend? Sorry, but I can't come -___-''

The subjects I have an exam on Tuesday (in two days!! C__c!!) is really hard, but I'll do my best. I failed it the first time I took it and I have to struggle to get motivated.. Just keep at it.. Focus. Focus. Focus! Don't give up.. But, argh, it sure is hard.. High school was kindergarten compared to this XC .. Just have to focus on the feeling I'll get once I get this over 'n done with! Phew!
I do learn.. but, I haven't reached the murder-pace that we're running at the university.. Gargh! >___< But, it sure is a relief that I can re-take exams. Makes me feel way better. Now, I just have to pull through and do my best!

I'm very content with the outcome!
A lot of people said they appreciated my pictures, that they were fun and thoughtful. I heard a lot of giggles and chatting about my KärleksMonster, and a few people came up to me and said that they recognised themselves a lot in the pictures :) That makes me happy!
The goal with my KärleksMonsters is to bring people smiles, and I really do feel that I've achieved my goal! :D

KäleksMonster in Staffanstorp!

My KärleksMonster (swedish "love monsters") exhibition will premiere at Kulturnatten in Staffanstorp Friday the 14th (october)!

I first draw these lovely little creatures back in 2008, and I've worked with them of and on the last three years.
Still, it's not until this summer I actually picked up the concept and redesigned them, actually completing several comics/illustrations with them.

The picture below was given to the Lions Club art lottery for the Kulturnatten.
One lucky person will get this original, framed and pretty as pretty can be!

There will be 18 more pictures with chubby, loving monsters at the art show next week! Both original art and posters will be available. :)

So, it's me, the furball (family's dog is visisting, yay!), my (soon-to-arrive-home) bf, my textbooks and NEW COMPUTER!! :DD Oh, I love it SO! It doesn't only START when I press the on-button, but it's pink as well! Oh, joy!

Sadly, we had a tight time-restriction, but I hope ya'll had fun :)
There was tons of cool music as well, and I danced around with my Mangakai Lund friends for a while :) Good times!

Now, I'm soon about to leave to meet my new classmates in Lund. For the first time. Gawd, I'm nervous!!
I haven't studied at a University before, so this is all new to me.. Iiiiiik~! I'm very anxious, but I'm sure it'll be tons of fun as well :)

Heyo,

It's Saturday and I just came home from work!!
Later I'm going on a date with my boyfriend! Yays! It's been a while. Well, we see each other every day, but going out and dressing up is totally different from doing the dishes and falingl asleep right after work.
It's important to give each other, and your relationship, time! *^^* I'm really looking forward to it. :3

Malmöfestivalen with Terebi Ge-mu!

Every year the lovely city of Malmö, southern Sweden, gives it's people the gift of a huge festival, filled with workshops, events and concerts. All for free! :D

And yours truly will be participating this Sunday (the 21st) at the cosplay-competition with Terebi Ge-mu!
There will also be several nothing-but-awesome computer/video-game concerts held that same evening.
